Although Larry Carlton's output during the '70s and '80s could be classified as commercial, there were usually occasional moments of brilliance sprinkled throughout. That is not the case with this session, which stands as his most commercial and forgettable to date. &Ridin' the Treasure& and &Shop Till You Drop& both found there way into Muzak programming, but I'm not sure that's something Carlton wants to be remembered for.
