This was one of the first releases from the Canadian Sackville label. Cornetist Wild Bill Davison leads the sextet but most significant is the playing of the underrated clarinetist Herb Hall in one of his best recordings. Filling out the fine swing-based group are trombonist Benny Morton, pianist Claude Hopkins, bassist Arvell Shaw and drummer Buzzy Drootin. Highlights include &Struttin' with Some Barbeque,& &I Would Do Anything for You& and &I Found a New Baby.&
