专辑介绍

The first album, &Music from An Eastern Western& is released on OB Records on vinyl in spring 2019. Side one takes Raga Yeman and begins with a phrase from Stravinsky's &The rite of Spring& on the bass which suggests a minor tonic. However, as the raga unfolds we hear it as a major phrase, bringing the feel from spring to summer. This is followed by a trippy Hoedown, the flute jazz of Paxploitation and climaxes with the roots style drum and bass of &The Left of Spring (Reprise)&. Side two is the title piece and the soundtrack for the imagined 1960's/70's Bollywood movie &An Eastern Western&. The album was written and produced by Paul Lefty Wright, engineered by John Sharp and mastered by Sam Annand. Recorded live in midsummer 2018 the album captures the shimmering heat of our long hot summer.
