About Free2sound
Meditative improvisation, experimental electro-acoustic music.
Mixing the "ideas" of western and eastern music. Through qin, vocals, loopstation, electronic pedals we create unique music. It is directly possible to create a realistic mix between western and eastern culture through playing improvised music together. We already from the start have the will to create freely. Our sounds are interwoven naturally and becomes exactly what we want to express and share with others - That it's easy to share ideas when you have the curiosity to create a "new space".
Zeng Xiaogang is qin player, and free musician from Yunnan, China. Xiaogang moved to Sweden in 2007 and 2009-2012 he studied at the World Music Program in the Gothenburg's Academy for Drama and Music. Experiences from both western and eastern music give him great inspiration for creating new qin music.
Hannah Tolf is a singer and composer from Gothenburg, Sweden. She has studied improvisation in the Skurups community college and the Gothenburg's Academy for Drama and Music. She has in the constellation Hannah Tolf and Dick Ahlin played at many Blues.
