North Carolina’s bluegrass duo Mandolin Orange (Emily Frantz on fiddle/vocals and Andrew Marlin on mandolin/vocals), who recently toured the UK, have announced the release of their new album Blindfaller and shared their first single Wildfire – “a country dirge with soulful washes of pedal steel and mandolin, the song details the lingering, present-day devastation of slavery and the Civil War – with Marlin’s voice locking into close harmonies with Frantz on the chorus. ”

Blindfaller is due for on 14th October via Yep Roc Records. According to the label the new album stays true to their Americana sound and tackles modern day themes seen in our daily headlines. The album was recorded in just one week during a break from their busy touring schedule.
