Berlin topped the charts with the unforgettable, intimate and strikingly beautiful love song, "Take My Breath Away." The ballad s defining role in the Tom Cruise film, Top Gun, has also helped solidify Berlin s everlasting place in American pop-culture. Since arriving on the music scene, Terri Nunn and Berlin have received a total of 12 gold and platinum album awards. Their number one international hit, "Take My Breath Away", not only received a Golden Globe Award for Song of the Year, but an Academy Award as well.
