Herbie Mann's second in a long string of albums for Atlantic resulted in some slightly commercial but mostly enjoyable music. Two songs match the flutist with three strings and a Latin rhythm section, while three co-star vibraphonist Dave Pike with an expanded rhythm section; the remaining two tunes add four trumpets to the group. Best are renditions of &Moanin'& and Charlie Parker's &Au Privave,& while &The Song of Delilah& is given a haunting treatment. Some of the other performances are more lightweight (including a truncated &Why Don't You Do Right&), making this out-of-print LP a bit of a mixed bag.
