A major faction in the Compost record label roster, Kyoto Jazz Massive takes a turn with a mix CD as part of the rather ambitious Fueled for the Future series. Taking songs from the Compost, Jazzanova, and Sonar Kollektiv catalogs, the group energetically runs through some of the highpoints of all three catalogs, including the Jazzanova breakthrough "Fedime's Flight," the broken beat anthem "Carajillo" by Trüby Trio, and the boogie of Syrup's "Strawberry." It's definitely the strongest in the series and worth the price of the entire series alone.
