As the title suggests, this album captures a rare live concert by new age composer Mike Rowland. The concert took place in Savador, Brazil in January of 1991 before an audience of 2,000. Rowland plays grand piano and is accompanied by Tony Botelho on keyboards and double-bass. The album begins with "Gently Arrives the Dawn," a mellow piece with what sounds like a chorus of birds breathing in the background. Most pieces feature the signature sound of synth orchestra and solo piano, but because it is "live," the interaction has a bit of freshness not evident on Mike's solo albums. "Pisando nas Estrelas" features Rowland on piano and Boetlho on bowed string bass for a nice change of tonal qualities. Audience clapping is enthusiastic, but kept low volume in the background.
