This "contemporary flamenco" is derived from the passionate Gypsy soul music of Spain with its North African and Asian influences. He uses a special nylon stringed acoustic guitar with built-in pick-up to achieve a crystal clear, detailed sound. State-of-the-art digital reverberation is added to put the album in a unique class by itself. Powerful dances and also introspective evocations offer the listener Flamenco for the '80s.
