The re-discovery of the ancient healing art of Reiki has spawned dozens of CD's to accompany the process. As Merlin's Magic, Andreas Mock has recorded several such discs. Reiki is one of the more obvious albums in this style, it is over one hour of deep instrumental bliss. The sound design incorporates keyboards, guitars, violins and singing bowls. The atmospheres, enhanced by the bowls, have strong overtone and psychoactive properties. Mock's gentle style embraces his subject -- the healing arts -- deeply. Deep listeners will enter trance-like states of concentration. Meditation and healing are natural results of this experience.
